Free vs Pro: what you get and when to upgrade
Everything works on Free. Pro just takes the watermark off. That is the honest one-line version — the details below tell you exactly where the line sits.
What you get on Free
Free is the full product, not a crippled demo. You can:
Build up to three projects.
Use any device, drop in your own screen, set the lighting, background, and look of the scene.
Try every trigger and every live behavior.
Preview exactly how the scene runs in production.
Export to video. Download your scene as a moving file you can post anywhere.
Export images. Download high-resolution stills.
Embed anywhere. Drop your scene onto a landing page, portfolio, Notion, Webflow — wherever a script tag fits.
So yes, you can actually ship on Free. There is one catch, and it is the same catch everywhere: a small mckp.live watermark rides along on every export and every embed.
The other limit is projects. Three at a time. Once you fill them up, you swap or delete to make room.
What Pro changes
Pro does two things — and they are the two things that start to matter the moment you stop playing around:
No watermark. Clean video, clean images, clean embeds. Your work, your brand, nothing else riding along.
Unlimited projects. Build as many as you want, keep them all, never delete to make room.
That is the whole upgrade. Same editor, same features, same everything — Pro simply removes the friction.
When to upgrade
Two signals. If either one sounds like you, it is time.
You are putting the mockup in front of real people. A landing page, a client deck, a Product Hunt launch, a portfolio you are proud of. A watermark is fine while you test. It is not fine on the thing that represents you.
You hit the three-project wall. Once you are juggling more than three live projects, the swap-and-delete dance gets old fast. Unlimited projects fix that in a single click.
If neither applies yet, stay on Free. We are in no hurry.
Common questions
What happens to my projects if I downgrade?
They stay. If you have more than three, you keep them all — but you can only edit them once you bring the count back down to three, or upgrade again.
Does the watermark come back if my subscription lapses?
Yes. Files you already downloaded keep whatever they had, but new exports and your live embeds show the watermark again until you renew.
I only need one clean export, just once. What now?
Upgrade for a month, export without the watermark, downgrade. We will not stop you.
Is there a team plan?
Not yet. For now, Pro is per-user.
